Stay & Relax at Metsäsydän in Puumala
Metsäsydän has two different accommodation options in Puumala: the year-round Linnunpesä and the summer cottages in the Mökki Village. These places are different from each other, but both are supported by the themes of nature and tranquility. With our accommodation services, we want to offer experiences of nature’s healing power. Metsäsydän’s Mökki Village
Metsäsydän’s Mökki Village is located on an old kayaking center site. We offer accommodation in five cottages built in 1970. Each cottage is about 9m² in size and has a pull-out two-person sofa bed and a small kitchen with a gas stove. The cottages have their own outdoor toilets, which are not immediately next to the cottages.
The cottages are located at a good distance from each other, ensuring privacy. The area offers some of the most beautiful views of Puumala and Lake Saimaa. Every cottage has a view of the lake, the terrain is rocky, and small forest paths lead you to each one. It’s also easy to access by water. The Mökki Village accommodation includes a ready-made bed with a 140cm pull-out sofa bed, as well as a breakfast basket delivered to the cottage’s terrace between 8 and 10 in the morning. The sauna is heated every evening and there is one hour turn to every cottage.
Metsäsydän’s Linnunpesä
Metsäsydän’s Linnunpesä features four double rooms. Linnunpesä is located on the upper floor of Maria and Olli’s home, in the old main building of the farm, built in 1960. The rooms are homely, and the environment is peaceful.
Some of the rooms offer stunning views over Lake Naistenvesi, while others face a serene rural landscape. The rooms share a bathroom and shower. There are also toilets in a separate building near the summer kitchen, which guests are welcome to use. The summer kitchen is available for guests and serves breakfast. And the guests are free to use the sauna by the lake.
The guesthouse is located 2.5 km from the Puumala Archipelago Route (cycling route) and 5.5 km from the Mökki Village. The nearest parking lot for Norppapolku (a hiking trail) is 7 km away, and the Mökki Village is 10 km from here.
Please note that all our guests appreciate peace and quiet during their stay. There is a dog and a cat on the property, and the rooms are not allergy-friendly.
The entrepreneurial couple of Metsäsydän, Maria and Olli, warmly welcome their guests and make sure your visit is comfortable. Maria’s and Olli’s family includes two small girls who go along everywhere and bring joy to the guests.
